WINE LIST
Goodstone's wine list offers approximately 400 selections from a dozen countries. Goodstone is an intimate place where individuals or small groups come to relax and reconnect with the natural rhythm of life. The culinary and wine programs seek to mirror these rhythms. The 265 acres of the estate provide vegetables, chicken eggs, lamb and beef that are featured in our cuisine. This farm based approach is the same used for the selections found on the wine list. Being that wine is a preserved good, the list is not limited to local production only. However, over thirty selections from local wineries are available.
The wines offered at Goodstone represent small farmers who often live on the land they farm and produce wines that reflect their place. These are wines made in small quantities. They are made by passionate people with stories that serve to enhance the enjoyment of their wines. They display unique characteristics and vary from one vintage to the next. For some, they may require an introduction. Just as with any great relationship, though, taking the time to get to know them is a most pleasurable experience. In addition to holding the Goodstone wine collection, the cellar features a table that accommodates twelve people set against the backdrop of a mural painted by local artist Penny Hauff portraying the Middleburg Fox Hunt, which ventures through the Goodstone Estate.

Monthly, Goodstone offers guests the opportunity to take part in special dinners designed to highlight a particular wine region or producer. These events begin and end with the wines as sommelier Justin Hunsaker and Chef William Walden collaborate to create sequence of courses to support the wines featured.
