Goodstone Inn & Estate Wins People’s Choice Award at “Chocolates Galore and More” for Best Hors d’Oeuvre Taste

Featuring Rack of Lamb over a Bed of Polenta and Tarragon Jus

MIDDLEBURG, Va.— The Goodstone Inn & Estate is pleased to announce that Executive Chef William Walden received the “People’s Choice Award for Best Hors d’Oeuvre Taste” at Chocolates Galore and More held at the National Conference Center in Leesburg, Virginia.  Chef Walden prepared a rack of lamb over a bed of creamy polenta served with a tarragon jus.  Competing against the top chefs from 18 of the area’s most prestigious restaurants, Chef Walden’s dish received the most votes from the events over 400 attendees.  The event raised over $30,000 for the YMCA.

 “I am delighted and humbled by this recent honor,” said Chef Walden. “I am very excited to be part of the Goodstone culinary team and to have our very own herb and vegetable gardens that will influence my daily menu is a Chef’s dream come true.  I am inspired by the serene beauty of this property and look forward to inspiring our guests with a wonderful culinary experience.”
