Goodstone Inn & Estate Wins Capital Food Fight People’s Choice Award

Featuring Rack of Lamb Over A Bed Of Polenta Seasoned With Swiss Chard

Middleburg, Virginia,  The Goodstone Inn & Estate is pleased to announce new Executive Chef, William Walden, received the “People’s Choice Award” at the Capital Food Fight” in Washington, D.C.  Competing against more than fifty chefs from the areas most prestigious restaurants, the event raised more than $1 million for the DC Central Food Bank.

Walden brings many years of culinary experience to Goodstone, most recently spending seven years as the sous chef at the legendary L’Auberge Chez Francois and another seven additional years as chef-owner of La Fleur de Lis in Lovettsville, Virginia.

“I am delighted and humbled by this recent honor,” said Chef Walden. “I am very excited to be part of the Goodstone culinary team and to have our very own herb and vegetable garden that will influence my daily menu is a Chef’s dream come true. I am inspired by the serene beauty of this property and look forward to inspiring our guests with a wonderful culinary experience.”
