Helpful information to plan your escape to Goodstone Inn & Restaurant

What time is check-in and check-out?
Our check-in time starts at 4:00 PM, and check-out is scheduled for 11:00 AM. We kindly ask that our guests adhere to these timings. If you wish to extend your stay after 11:00 AM, a fee of 50% of the nightly rate may apply. However, early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and approval, as we want to ensure a comfortable experience for all our guests.

What is the maximum occupancy in your guest rooms?
Our rates are based on double occupancy, and we appreciate advance notice for any additional guests so that our housekeeping team can make the necessary preparations. There is a fee of $100 plus taxes per person, per night for any extra guests. Beginning July 1st, 2024, our extra guest fee will increase to $125 plus taxes per person.

What is your cancellation policy?
We require a deposit equivalent to the first night's stay when booking to secure your room reservation. If you need to cancel your reservation, you can receive a full refund if the cancellation is made 14 days before your scheduled arrival. For cancellations within 14 days of arrival, your deposit can be applied as a credit towards a future overnight stay within one year. Please note that once your reservation is confirmed within 48 hours, the deposit becomes non-refundable, and its forfeiture may apply.

What is included in my stay?
During your stay, we offer complimentary House Breakfast, coffee, tea, and orange juice daily, served in our Bistro from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. Additionally, we provide bottled water, refreshed daily in each Guest Room. You can request turndown service in the evening. Wi-Fi is available in the Carriage House and all our Cottages for your convenience.

Do you welcome children at the inn and restaurants?
Guests who wish to rent a guest room or cottage must be at least 21 years old. Moreover, guests who are under the age of 21 must be accompanied by an adult who is 21 or older. If you have children who are 10 years or older, they are allowed to stay in our guest rooms, but you will need to pay extra occupancy fees and applicable taxes. However, if you plan to bring guests who are under the age of 10, you will need to book the entire cottage, not just a room.
Please note that the Conservatory only allows guests who are 18 years or older. On the other hand, the Bistro welcomes children of all ages, provided they are accompanied by an adult who is 21 years or older.

Do you welcome pets at Goodstone?
Pets with advance reservation are welcome in designated accommodations (excluding Hayloft Room, Dutch Cottage, Spring House & Manor House). A non-refundable fee of $150 plus taxes applies for suites, and $250 plus taxes applies for cottages. Please note that pets must be crated when unattended at all times. If you plan to stay in the French Farm Cottage, the entire cottage must be booked when accompanied by a pet. We kindly request that you acknowledge our pet policy.

Do you have a pool at Goodstone?
Yes, a heated saltwater pool is available for guest use from May to October. Please note that there is no lifeguard present at any time. We welcome guests aged 14 years and older to enjoy the pool. For younger children, we highly recommend the nearby Middleburg Community Center pool for their safety and enjoyment.

Do you allow smoking on the property?
At Goodstone Inn, we prioritize the comfort and safety of our guests. Therefore, we have a strict no-smoking policy in all guest rooms and public spaces. If smoking is necessary, we kindly ask that you do so only in the parking lot and dispose of any incidental trash properly to ensure no fire risk. Thank you for your cooperation.

Does Goodstone offer a shuttle service?
Since Goodstone is situated on a sprawling 265-acre estate outside Middleburg, we highly recommend having a personal vehicle for off-property outings and transportation between the cottages and the Carriage House, where our restaurants are located. Unfortunately, we do not provide a shuttle service on the estate or local attractions. However, we can gladly recommend a local personal driver for any off-property excursions, such as wineries, that may require a designated driver.
