Jess Soman

General Manager

Mr. Soman has over 35 years of hospitality experience, most recently as the Director of Food & Beverage at The Inn at Little Washington over the last decade. Jess is a strong leader and is committed to the growing success of each team member at Goodstone.

Betsy Needham

Hospitality Director

Betsy and her family recently moved to Northern Virginia from Estes Park, CO, where she was first introduced and fell in love with the hospitality industry. Drawing from her extensive Marketing and Customer Service backgrounds, Betsy was instrumental in the management of a 100+ unit luxury condo property as well as with the development and launch of a new gourmet catering company and 2 event venues.

Alyssa Hummel

Director of Special Events

In mid-2022, Alyssa joined the legendary Goodstone Inn as Director of Special Events. Her refined talent for the role has made an immediate, elevated impact. She blends graciousness with her extensive experience to deliver a feeling of gratified warmth to the lives of those touched.

Kenneth Grandon

Wine Director

Mr. Grandon has over 16 years of fine dining experience, spending the last 5 years at The Inn at Little Washington, with the last 2 1/2 years as the Cellar Master.  He’s a certified sommelier through the Court and has his WSET III.

Jefferson Van Allen

Bistro & Bar Manager

Jefferson comes to the Inn with 30 years of hospitality experience. Spending the last 13 years working for the W Hotel in Washington, DC. He also serves on 2 Boards of trustees. One of which being the Unison Preservation Society, here in Middleburg, VA. Jefferson has worked many facets of the hospitality industry. Having backgrounds in Design, Fine Arts and Hospitality.

Betsy Khashoggi

Corporate Sales Manager

Betsy has six years of experience in hospitality, where she began as a Guest Services Associate at Goodstone. She quickly moved on to become the Rooms Director, which identifies her attention to detail. Betsy was next placed in the Director of Guest Relations position, an ambassador to all guests. Betsy’s sales acumen, along with a natural flair to engage with people, make her a great contact for businesses.

Daphne Morgan

Grounds Manager

Daphne is a Middleburg native with over 30 years experience working in the landscaping, horticulture, and floral industries. She joined the Goodstone team in 2022 to manage the grounds, gardens, and to procure an all-inclusive floral department for all venues in the future. She brings with her much experience and a wealth of ideas
