What time is check-in and check-out?

Check In Time is 4pm.

Valid state issued photo id, credit card, phone number and email address are required at check in.

Check Out Time is 11am.

Early Check In and/ or Late Check Out may be available (based on room type availability) for a fee. Please confirm availability with Guest Services.

Please return your key to Guest Services or a non-refundable replacement charge of $25 will be applied to the credit card on file.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require a deposit equivalent to the first night's stay when booking to secure your room reservation. Final payment is due upon departure.

For cancellations between 14 days to 2 days prior to arrival, your deposit can be applied as a credit towards a future overnight stay within one year.

For cancellations within 2 days (48 hours) prior to arrival, your deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to arrival will receive a refund of their deposit.

The French Farm at Goodstone Inn is perfect for solitude and countryside views.

The luxury suites and cottages at Goodstone are each filled with antique furnishings and hunt country character.

What is the maximum occupancy in your guest rooms?

Our rates are based on double occupancy, and we appreciate advance notice for any additional guests, so that our housekeeping team can make the necessary preparations. There is a fee of $125 plus taxes per person, per night for any extra guests.

The base occupancy per accommodation is as follows:

Carriage House (2 guests per room)
Dutch Cottage (4 guests - 2 guests per room)
Spring House (8 guests - 2 guests per room)
Bull Barn Cottage (2 guests)
French Farm Cottage (6 guests - 2 guests per room)
Manor House (8 guests - 2 guests per room).

Do you welcome children at the inn and restaurants?

Guests who wish to rent a guest room or cottage must be at least 21 years old. Moreover, guests under 21 must be accompanied by an adult who is 21 or older. If you have children who are 14 years or older, they can stay in our guest rooms, but you will need to pay extra occupancy fees and applicable taxes.

Please note that the Conservatory only allows guests who are 18 years or older. On the other hand, the Bistro welcomes children of all ages, provided they are accompanied by an adult who is 21 years or older.

Do you welcome pets at Goodstone?

We are a dog-friendly inn. We do not permit cats or other pets on the premises.

Dogs must be registered at the front desk during check-in, and owners must sign the dog agreement.

Dogs will not be permitted in the following Manor House rooms: Harriman, Mosby, Master.

Dogs will not be permitted in the Carriage House Lobby, Hayloft, Bistro or Conservatory, or the pool area (with the exception of service dogs).

Dogs are permitted in your guestroom (they do not have access to the entire cottage unless you have purchased the entire cottage), grounds, and outdoor public spaces.

Pet Owners will keep their pet(s) off all furniture, including the bed, chairs and couches.

Dogs of non-registered guests or day guests are not allowed on property, with the exception of service dogs.

Dogs must remain on a leash at all times.

Dogs must be crated when unattended in the guest room. Rooms with unattended dogs not in crates will not be serviced.

Pet Owners are responsible for any damage or disruption dogs may cause. If additional deep cleaning is necessary, an appropriate fee will be added to the guest room account, even if they are discovered following departure from the hotel. Guests will also be held accountable for any complaints resulting in financial loss to the hotel.

Dogs are not permitted in any Goodstone vehicle.

We reserve the right to refuse service to any dog. If appropriate, we may also ask that a disruptive or aggressive dog be removed from the property.

We are not liable for any injuries to your dog sustained on property, under any circumstances.

Non-refundable Dog Fees will apply as follows:

$175 per guest room, per stay, max 2 dogs per room + applicable taxes.

Do you have a pool at Goodstone?

We do have a heated, saltwater outdoor pool at Goodstone with seasonal availability. Our Goodstone Inn pool is currently open daily from 9am - 8pm, and is subject to closure for private events. Goodstone is thrilled to offer poolside food and beverage for purchase daily from 11am - 7pm. Please note there is no lifeguard present at any time. We welcome guests aged 14 years and older to enjoy the pool. For younger children, we highly recommend the nearby Middleburg Community Center pool for their safety and enjoyment.

Does Goodstone offer a shuttle service?

Since Goodstone is situated on a sprawling 265-acre estate outside Middleburg, we highly recommend having a personal vehicle for off-property outings and transportation between the cottages and the Carriage House, where our restaurants are located. Unfortunately, we do not provide a shuttle service on the estate or local attractions. However, we can gladly recommend a local personal driver for any off-property excursions, such as wineries, that may require a designated driver.

Due to the large size of the Goodstone Inn property, we encourage guests to bring a car.

Do you allow smoking on the property?

For your comfort, we offer only non-smoking guest rooms. Smoking is only permitted in outdoor spaces. If a smoking violation occurs, a $250 non-refundable cleaning fee will be assessed. We appreciate your cooperation.
